The Presidio Parkway celebrates its tenth anniversary in July 2025

This acclaimed Parkway has woven together the Presidio, creating the space for the now well beloved Tunnel Tops while also carrying more than 100K cars a day safely from the Golden Gate Bridge to the city streets. It is a hopeful symbol of San Francisco’s “can do” attitude, and the innovative approaches of the region.

We have written a popular book to describe the dramatic story of this Parkway, as Michael Painter’s vision overcame ordinary thinking against all odds.

Now it is time to complete the movie Tunnel Magic to spread this story even more widely, to make it come even more alive on the screen
